Just when you thought it was safe to turn off the lights, something is stirring under the bed again. Pure Taboo’s fan-favorite horror series, Under the Bed, is crawling back from its pandemic-forced hiatus, and its return is marked by a story that promises to get under your skin in the best way possible: “House of Silk.”
The new episode, masterminded by Adult Time’s visionary Creative Director Bree Mills, stars the magnetic August Skye in a role that’s a perfect cocktail of terrifying and tantalizing. The story centers on a neglected housewife who, after a fateful spider bite, undergoes a chilling transformation. As her desires evolve, she ensnares her husband (Codey Steele) and a young neighbor (Josh Rivers) in a sticky situation that’s far more complex than a simple web.
A Star Reborn
For August Skye, stepping into this role was a dream come true, blending two of her biggest passions. She told AVN in a recent interview, “I’m a huge horror fan and I’ve always wanted to do something along these lines. Horror and sex go together like peanut butter and jelly, so I went all in playing this character.”
Skye’s commitment to the role was absolute, involving an intense process with special effects makeup and prosthetics to bring her creature-feature transformation to life. The starlet was thrilled with the results, describing the delicate work done by special effects artist Gabe as a complete immersion into the character.
“The transformation was so much fun. It starts off as something scary but then you’re drawn in by the sensuality and the fear. It’s one of those moments where you think to yourself, like, ‘I shouldn’t be turned on by this but yet here I am completely aroused.’”

The painstaking process involved molding and fitting prosthetics before the shoot and a meticulous removal process that took nearly an hour each day. But for Skye, the effort was more than worth it.
“I think fans will enjoy the actual transformation scene,” she predicted. “It’s out of character for any other scene I’ve done. It’s terrifying—yet sexy. One of those moments that builds up to, ‘I don’t know what’s going to happen next…’”

A Director’s Vision
Behind the camera, Bree Mills returned to the series she helped launch in 2019, bringing her signature high-concept flair. Known for pushing the boundaries of adult storytelling, Mills saw “House of Silk” as a perfect vehicle to explore deeper themes.
In a statement to XBIZ, Mills revealed her fascination with the concept: “I’ve always been obsessed with body horror and how it can be used as a metaphor for sexual awakening. With ‘House of Silk,’ we’re taking that to the next level.”
This approach is a hallmark of Adult Time, which consistently delivers narrative-driven content that stands out in a crowded market. By blending genres and investing in cinematic production, Mills and her team create experiences that resonate with fans looking for more than just a scene—they want a story.
Fan Webs and Industry Buzz
The revival has already caught fire online. When Adult Time dropped the trailer, social media lit up with excitement. Fans praised the casting and the chilling visuals, with comments like, “This looks insane!” and “August is perfect for this role!”
Skye herself shared the excitement, posting on her X (formerly Twitter) account, @augustskyees, “MY FIRST PURE TABOO 🥹 HOUSE OF SILK 🕷️ JUNE 25TH @adulttimecom”. Her genuine enthusiasm highlights a growing trend of performers who are deeply involved and passionate about their creative projects.
So, will the men caught in Skye’s web meet a predictable, grisly end? The starlet is keeping that a secret. “You’ll have to watch and find out,” she teased.
Pure Taboo: Under the Bed — “House of Silk” premieres June 25, exclusively on AdultTime.com. Get ready for a story that’s guaranteed to leave you both thrilled and chilled.

As Bree Mills perfectly puts it, the goal is “to explore the intersection of horror and sexuality in a way that was both terrifying and erotic.” It looks like “House of Silk” is set to do just that.
