While the Rocky Mountains provided a stunning backdrop, all eyes in Denver were on the electrifying stage at Platinum 84 last week. From June 4-6, the club hosted the 2025 EDI West competition, an absolute explosion of creativity, glamour, and pure talent. Fourteen of the industry’s most dynamic feature entertainers battled it out, but when the last piece of confetti settled, two queens reigned supreme: burlesque icon Chére Noble took the Showgirl Division crown, and fierce newcomer Vampiress slayed the competition to win the Starlet Division.

A Classic Queen’s Victorious Return
Chére Noble, a name synonymous with classic burlesque and old-Hollywood elegance, brought a performance that felt both timeless and refreshingly modern. Her act, which also snagged her the “Best Costume” award, was a masterclass in the art of the tease. For Chére, who is a celebrated figure in the burlesque world, this win was a particularly special moment that brought her career full circle.
“I never expected to win a feature competition with a neo-classic burlesque act, but it was a validating experience I’m exceedingly grateful for,” Chére shared after her win. “Featuring has always felt more like I was doing burlesque than the ‘burlesque circuit,’ so to be chosen as a champion here doing the thing that I began my career so focused on is not something I will soon forget.”
Her victory proves that in an industry constantly pushing boundaries, the power of classic, polished showgirl glamour is as potent as ever.

A Starlet’s Killer Debut
On the other side of the winner’s circle, Vampiress made one of the most memorable first impressions in EDI history. As a first-time competitor, she didn’t just participate—she dominated. Her portrayal of a “blood-drenched nocturnal succubus” was hypnotic, terrifying, and utterly captivating, earning her the Starlet Division title. The shock and joy were palpable.
“I’m so honored to have even been invited to compete in EDI, let alone win anything!” Vampiress exclaimed. “This is the year I popped my EDI cherry and I somehow ended up winning first place… It truly feels too good to be true and yet at the same time it’s a dream-come-true moment for me!”
Her win, along with killer runner-up performances from Spyder and Saint Anique, signals a powerful new wave of talent rising in the starlet scene.

It’s a Full-Blown Production!
This year’s EDI West, sponsored by none other than adult film superstar Lauren Phillips, wasn’t just a dance contest; it was a testament to where the industry is heading. Performers are no longer just dancers; they are producers, choreographers, and storytellers. The creativity was off the charts!
First Runner-Up Angel Beau took us to infinity and beyond with a Toy Story-themed show that included a moment that had the whole audience wincing: stepping barefoot on a pile of Legos. Now that’s commitment, and it rightfully earned her the “Most Extreme Show” title. Meanwhile, Second Runner-Up Justice gave us a wet-and-wild take on Willy Wonka that won over the crowd and earned her the “Audience Favorite” award. From Nia Nebula’s hilarious “Harry Potter” act to Madelaine Horn’s thought-provoking “American Patriarchy” show, each performer brought a universe of their own to the stage.
This is the modern feature entertainer: an artist with a vision, willing to build elaborate sets, take wild risks, and create unforgettable theatrical moments. Events like EDI, considered the pinnacle of the craft, give these creators the perfect platform to shine.
A huge shout-out goes to the entire team that made it happen: Platinum 84 owner Scott Richter, the incredible staff, show producer Roxi D’Lite, and all the judges and coordinators. And of course, to the 14 incredible women who left it all on the stage.
