In a move that puts performer well-being front and center, the adult industry’s leading mental health nonprofit, Pineapple Support, is teaming up with Pornhub to launch a vital new resource: a free, online support group dedicated to self-love and compassion.
The six-week program, aptly named “Self Love,” is designed to provide a safe and nurturing space for adult performers to build a stronger relationship with themselves. The initiative couldn’t be more timely, reflecting a growing industry-wide conversation about the importance of mental and emotional wellness for creators.
Building Inner Trust, Together
Set to kick off on Tuesday, July 2nd, at noon EST, the group will be guided by Pineapple Support therapist Claire Fountain, who is known for her expertise in mind-body connection. She promises a hands-on, supportive experience for all attendees.
“This group will have discussions, exercises, and practical tools for understanding and increasing self-love and self-compassion,” Fountain shared in a statement. “Together we will build inner trust, connect with one another, and create the foundation for deeper relationships and joy in your life.”
The sessions, which will run for 60 minutes each week, aim to equip performers with tangible skills to foster self-acceptance in a collaborative and judgment-free environment. The sponsorship from Pornhub makes this invaluable resource completely free for industry professionals.
A Mission Born from a Movement
For those familiar with the industry, Pineapple Support is a name synonymous with care and advocacy. The organization was founded in 2018 by British performer Leya Tanit, who was moved to action after the industry tragically lost several stars to depression and other mental health struggles.
Since its inception, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit has become a lifeline for countless individuals, connecting over 15,000 adult performers to free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support. This new group is a natural extension of that mission, shifting focus from crisis intervention to proactive wellness.
Tanit expressed her gratitude for the collaboration that made this group possible.
“We’re grateful for the support of Pornhub for its support with this much-needed support group to help performers nurture their relationship with themselves,” said Tanit.
More Than a Trend: The Industry Invests in Its People
This initiative doesn’t exist in a vacuum. It’s part of a larger, positive shift within the adult entertainment world. As creators gain more agency through platforms like OnlyFans and Fansly, the conversation has increasingly turned to sustainability, boundaries, and mental health. Major platforms like Pornhub are taking note, investing back into the community through its Pornhub Cares initiative.
By sponsoring a group focused on something as fundamental as self-love, Pornhub and Pineapple Support are sending a clear message: the person behind the performance matters. The focus on “self-compassion” and “inner trust” moves beyond just coping mechanisms and aims to build a resilient foundation for performers to thrive both on and off camera.
As Leya Tanit powerfully puts it, the journey is a vital one. She encourages performers to join the group to “explore, nurture and embrace the longest relationship you will ever have – the one with yourself.”
